Frequently Asked Questions

What accounting software do you use?

We have expertise in all the major accounting software programmes, SAGE, TAS, Quickbooks, Quicken and Cashflow Manager plus some bespoke programmes.

How far do you travel?

For on site bookkeeping and accounting services, we limit ourselves to a radius of 15 miles of Swindon Town Centre as we do not charge mileage. However we have clients outside this radius who are happy to pay a travel charge.

For postal accounting - there is obviously no limit to distance!

How much do you charge?

We usually charge by the hour, but for contracts which entail more than 1 day per month, we usually quote a fixed monthly price based upon hours required and level of responsibility. As we refer to ourselves as "in-betweenies" (more than just bookkeepers but not quite a firm of Accountants), we believe we are competitively priced - certainly cheaper than a firm of Accountants but more expensive that your stand-alone bookkeeper.

We need someone flexible, can you offer this?

Yes, our accountants and accounting technicians work flexible hours and contracts are arranged around our clients. Should your usual accounting technician not be available through sickness, holiday etc., then one of our other technicians will be able to cover the time.

I am a year behind with my accounts as my previous bookkeeper has let me down, can you help?

Of course, we are able to provide many hands and time to get you up to date as quickly as possible and in doing so, sort out your accounting system to ensure that in future it will take less time and trouble to keep you current.

Being a small business are you able to do my books and year end accounts?

Yes, we can do both and ultimately this will save you money.
